Both teams played very nervous and very shakey in the first period. GC had an 8 or 10 pt lead in the 2nd period and went cold while Richlands went on a shooting clinic and took the lead right before halftime. 3 of GCs biggest scorers (Barnes, Ervin, and Qualls) didn't even have a point in the first half I don't think. It was all McClung....with Collier adding maybe 4 pts and Jones having maybe 3 or 5 pts.
2nd half was completely different. McClung didn't really shoot that much and Ervin, Barnes, and Qualls finally got to rolling a bit. Way too many unforced errors by both teams though...real sloppy game. #22 and #1 for Richlands played a really solid game.... Both of those boys are great athletes. Also was impressed with the class by both teams. I have a ton of respect for Richlands and their program.
