Bird didn’t impress me at all when I saw them play Huguenot. I think Bird is way more coached up than Herm and I give them the edge. You just never know what you’re getting with Herm. Thought they played scared against Varina and Highland Springs. Definitely got the athletes to compete with anyone in this region.I think the higher seeds win in every game except the Louisa vs. Midlothian game. I have Louisa winning big.. The Bird vs. Hermitage game intrigues me. @BoKnowsSports do you think Hermitage can win?
The weak schedule of Louisa has bit them since the jump to 5. Midlothian has had to grind its season out. It will also hurt them if they stay reassigned to 4B next year. The weak schedule of Louisa has bit them since the jump to 5. Midlothian has had to grind its season out. I think it continues.
They should get some 5 or 6 teams on the schedule from Richmond or dip into the Commonwealth like the Battlefield has been doing. It will also hurt them if they stay reassigned to 4B next year.
Watching them play some of the Commonwealth teams in the non-district would be fun. They should get some 5 or 6 teams on the schedule from Richmond or dip into the Commonwealth like the Battlefield has been doing.
Bring Orange as well and that is a stout ten team district for the most part. Everyone would have to get better and would be better battle tested for the playoffs. All you have to do then is go out and schedule one crazy hard non-district game (preferably a Class 5 or 6 team) to help you get better.Shoot bring Louisa back to the Battlefield
As a Peninsula District alumnus, I'd recommend against a 10 district team. That 1 non-district game is for the birds. Having the flexibility to play 2-4 OOD games is a blessing. It allows you to play a variety of teams from different regions in the state. The poor Beach District doesn't see OOD unless it's scrimmages or playoffs and you've seen their success rate in the playoffs (or lack thereof).Bring Orange as well and that is a stout ten team district for the most part. Crazy thing is they have the talent... That is why one of the reasons why I chose to go out to Bird this Friday over other games. If both teams play to their potential, we will get a whale of a game.Bird didn’t impress me at all when I saw them play Huguenot. IMO Powhatan/Dinwiddie, Midlo/Louisa and Herm/Bird are the 3 best games in the entire state..Probably in that order.Crazy thing is they have the talent... I feel bad for the beach district. It's no way to tell how good they actually are playing the same schedule every year.As a Peninsula District alumnus, I'd recommend against a 10 district team. that is Herm's story in all sports lots of good athletes and not a great deal of coaching. Not close to the situation but have been getting words on the street of political nonsense in hiring.Bird didn’t impress me at all when I saw them play Huguenot. Couldn't agree more.IMO Powhatan/Dinwiddie, Midlo/Louisa and Herm/Bird are the 3 best games in the entire state..Probably in that order.
