The Comet Crazies are (finally) back at it againšŸ˜

Iā€™ve thought about having a little micā€™d up series for some of the sports this year (Something like this) and I was wondering if there were any rules prohibiting something like this? Obviously it will be a one way mic and the audio will only be used for entertainment purposes only but I thought it would be something unique to bring to the small town high school sports scene. Iā€™ve been looking at some mics that could be used for it but theyā€™re not exactly cheap, so I thought that I would ask to see if it was legal first before I move forward with it. If itā€™s not legal for the players to use it would it be able for the coaches to use it instead for the video? I just donā€™t want to get ahead of myself. Thanks!

It's not legal.

There are three types of equipment--mandatory, auxillery and illegal.

Mandatory is obvious.

Auxillery includes extra pads, gloves, braces, things like that.

Pretty much everything else is illegal. Since a simple chain or silicon wrist bracelet is illegal, you can be confident that anything involving electronics is also verboten.
