I heard today and then went to his Twitter page and Loyal Gresham, 6'3 240 lb Linebacker/DE, formerly of King William, Lafayette and a private school in Florida, is now enrolled at West Point. Just curious if he will be eligible to play football for the Pointers down the stretch or not.

I guess that would depend on VHSL eligibility and how the whole transfer from the school in Florida pans out. I can tell you that there were no new players at practice today.

Yeah I'm not sure. He was living with someone else in Florida. I'm not sure where his parents live at now. I was just curious, especially after he had West Point HS listed on his Twitter page

If this true, this is the most convoluted moves I’ve heard of from a player. I still don’t know the reason he would transfer from a state championship team, Lafayette, for his Senior season (after 2 seasons) with a good year coming up and one in which he would have been a star on defense. It would appear he didn’t even play a full season in FL. Hell, he could have just returned to Lafayette.

Yeah I don't know the situation or what happened down there

Sounds to me like the kid got some bad advice and that's why he ended up in Florida to begin with

I see Trinity catholic Hs still has three games left so he left them in mid season?? Noticed on his Twitter that Andy Linn is following him. I haven’t a clue what’s going on but Andy Linn always takes care of his players and promotes them into college. He definitely got some very lousy advice. I see the West Point notation on Twitter. Very strange.

Family of nice people that live in West Point. I see his Dad at FB practice occasionally. Younger brother is on J.V. and Mom teaches at the elementary school.

I know zero about Trinity Catholic,Andy Linn, or any of that. But regardless of football or sports in general. I'm glad the young man gets to be home with his family particularly as we get closer to the holidays. If the whole football thing works out I hope he gets to enjoy finishing his senior season somewhere that he feels welcomed and not pressured like he probably has been for years.
