Ervin went out early with an ankle injury. Came back in a played for a few mins but it was bothering him so much he pulle himself back out of the game. Not sure how severe it is.....hopefully just tweaked. But i do know it was swollen pretty bad so a sprain isnt out of the question....and that would be bad. Those things linger for quite a long time. GC doesnt play again til next Friday....maybe we will know by then how severe it is.

Gate City 98, Ridgeview 60

Mac McClung is still scoring and soaring.

The Gate City senior went for 44 points as the Blue Devils rocked Ridgeview for a Mountain 7 District win.

McClung had 31 points in the first half, equaling the total of Ridgeview’s entire team. Bradley Dean (26 points) and Zac Ervin (12 points) also scored in double digits.

Gabe Counts led Ridgeview with 17 points.
