This was a hard game to watch. Neither team could do anything offensively. #30 for Union did play some of the best defense I have seen all year. My main takeaway is the state of officiating. If that is the best officials that Poole can put in playoff games then it's pathetic. The one ref shouldn't be allowed to ref above JV level.
It was different officials in that game, haven't seen them before. I noticed Abingdon was in the double bonus early in second quarter which doesn't sound too bad except for the fact GC was shooting mostly 3's early in the game, not a lot of inside action where fouls typically happen. I have watched a lot of games these last few years and the officiating is worse than I can ever remember. I don't like the 3 ref system. When there was 2, there was more accountability. Now they all look to each other for the call. It kills me to see the half court ref call a foul underneath. They are getting paid way too much for their quality.
