Boys Soccer - West Point at Rapp-Warsaw result, my Top 3 in the East

The 2017 1A Boys Soccer opened with a meeting of potential heavy hitters as perennial region power West Point traveled to Warsaw to take on the Rapp Raiders. Yes, they did play in the snow!

Rapp definitely confirmed it's place as the early heavy favorite in the NND/43 as they pounded WP.

By my count 1A East has 23 boys soccer teams. Should be a great, competitive season!

Early Top 3 in the East

1) Northampton - (Conference 41)
2) Riverheads - (Conference 44)
3) Rappahannock- Warsaw (Conference 43)

(maybe Mathews as #4 from Conference 42 ahead of West Point at this, well, point)

Side note -This may indeed finally be the year for Coach Gorman of Northampton & his powerful program to win it all - they have been knocking on the door for a long time.

After seeing Galax last night I will say they have a long way to go. They are talented, but it is like half of the team is playing possession and the other half are trying to counter...However, they will be much improved by the time they face off with other big 1A schools. Been seeing some early results from Galileo Magnet that make me take note too. A few quality 2A wins.

Early on...and this will change, I'm sure...I see an all East final.
