I'll add that I don't care if the games return to LU or not.

As I have posted many times, LU is best venue in the state for all VHSL sports. I think 95% of everyone would agree if they are honest, and do not live east of Richmond. LU has best facilities and highways into Lynchburg are much better traffic wise than anywhere else in the state. Heck, 460 almost runs thru the south end zone..

It's a shame that VHSL sold out to the liberal Snowflakes of Charlottesville and Northern Virginia.

I agree that LU is great for most but it's a horrible location for 5A and 6A.

I was referring to 3A and 4A. LU can be a little hard to reach from due north because Charlottesville refuses to put a bypass around the place,along with Albemarle County. W&M is hard to get to from any direction.

I agree. The kids don't care where they play. My guess is that they'd PREFER a shorter trip but in the end they're just happy to be in the title game.

As stated before, I don't care where it is played. No dog in the fight. My point was: As a venue, with all points considered, I don't feel that W&M was any better than LU. I do think the VHSL can do much worse.

At the end of the day, y'all get your kids to the title game and be happy to be there. Many schools across this state have never sniffed the title game.

In any case, the 3A and 4A games were instant classics and will be talked about for years to come. We should wish that they were all that way.

They only renovated the home side. Visitors side is a dump. Attendance for the 4A game was 7000. I'd say it was slightly more than that depending on how many stayed for both. I was one that attended both games.

Site lines are hindered due to the slope of the stands. They are made worse by that godforsaken track. These are facts effectively proven by Pythagora's theorem.

The home side is nice. That's where I sat. I did venture over to the visitors side to have a look around. The bathrooms are old and inadequate. The visitors locker room is a travesty. I'll agree that concessions are generally garbage but it is nice to get a bottle of water. Heck, I saw the line in the visitors concession line stretch to the 30 yard line. To hear you say it, concessions shouldn't be available at any sporting event. You'd make one hell of a business manager.

OK. So $27 mill was poorly spent and the $16 mil on the Laycock Center in 2008 was a waste.

Now, I cannot admit to seeing the Visitor's locker room so I cannot dispute your view. I have seen the Home locker room. It is as good or better than Ohio States and I HAVE seen both. So while I cannot dispute your claim, please allow my difficulty believing.

Streamed both games Saturday. Live in MD now. Taking care of Pops.

Been to LU many times. Seen many games. They threw out all the stops to recruit my kids. Really impressive. They both hated it and I made very sure I contriibuted nothing to their decision. It was theirs to make.

Love to but not being completely in charge would not make me happy. Plus, knowing I am not the best available, would upset me greatly. I am a very good Coach of young people but knowing ones own limitations is always more important. It's about the kids.
