Did anyone see refs get off Kettle Run bus ?
About to get the second half started. Kettle Run has their work cut out for them if they are to avoid a second state title loss while Liberty Christian looks to finish them off and make it back-to-back state titles.
Kettle Run starts the third quarter at their own 20 and the LCA defense continues to lock them down with the Cougars stuffed at the line. Mulhern tripped up by Easton Ware and then fumbles. LCA with the recovery and it is deja vu. Bulldogs 1st & 10 at Kettle Run 20.
Colton Lubbe trips Gideon Davidson up but not before he gobbles up 6 yards. 2nd & 4 and the ball goes to Davidson again but only for a one yard gain. Jackson pass attempt falls incomplete bringing up 4th & 3.
Gideon Davidson runs for a first down with Dycen Tapscott bringing him down from behind. 1st * goal at the 9 Jayden Cowart with the carry to the 5.
2nd & goal at the 5 the ball goes to Davidson but there to make the stop is Jayden Booth. We have a Cougar down and one of his teammates anxiously waving his arms for the trainers.
Good news, #55 Pryce Western appears to be okay on the sidelines. Meanwhile, Gideon Davidson just punched in his third TD run of the day. 7:28 3Q and the Bulldogs are up 42-6!
Kettle Run sets up shop at their own 25. Henry Maier brings down Colton Lubbe with just 2 yards gained.
Jacob Mulhern sacked by James Deya. A loss of 8 yards and then a sure fire pass to Zach Roth is dropped in stride. Kettle Run running out of opportunities and time. 5 minutes remain in third quarter with running clock.
The Bulldogs offense seemingly cannot be stopped. I believe they have punted just once. The Bulldogs are now at the 30 of Kettle Run poised to strike again.
The Bulldogs were penalized, face 1st & 20 with Jayden Cowart picking up 4 yards. Bulldogs rotating players in, seeing that everyone gets in a little time in this state championship contest up big. Another missed opportunity for Cougars with ball right there ripe for picking and they cannot take advantage.

3rd & 14 for LCA and the ball goes to Davidson who is brought down by Colton Quaker. Bulldogs are 4th & 13 going for field goal but the 30 yard field goal is no good. 42-6 the score remains with 7:38 to go.
LCA defense has been outstanding today. Giving up very little on the ground, through 3 quarters the Cougars have 5 yards on the ground. Jacob Mulhern hits his mark in Zach Roth along LCA sideline for first down. 1st & 10 at their own 30.
Mulhern and Roth connect again for another first down. Kettle Run has ball at their own 41 with over 4 minutes to go and JT Taylor gets them another first.
Haydynn Bell with a big run, the Cougars are sitting at the LCA 27 with over 2 minutes to go. A shovel pass to JT Taylor has the ball out at the LCA 12.
Pass broken up on 1st down. Clock still ticking... not the ending the Cougars were hoping for. Haydynn Bell carries out to the LCA 4.
Colton Lubbe brought down for a loss. Time ticking... Cougars might not get that other score after all.
LCA ends it with an Alex Ascari interception at the goal line and returns it out to about the 50. Flags fly with LCA assessed the penalty. LCA will take over 1st & 10 at the 32 but that's game.
