Coach Bill Bowles was at the helm of the Monarchs for 11 seasons from 1998-2008. By 2002 Coach Bowles had the Monarchs on the rise and in 2003 they played in their first region title game. A year later the Monarchs won not only their first region title but their only state final to date, the 2004 Class 5 State Title. 7 winning seasons, 5 playoff appearances and an 8-4 playoff record, Coach Bowles knew how to win. When he left Meadowbrook after the 2008 season Coach Bowles was 69-52.
Lou Anderson on the other hand had a way 3 tours in the region... 1st with Marshall-Walker from 1979 to 1985, then it was John Marshall from 1986-1989 and 1 year at Armstrong. In 12 seasons Coach Anderson had 10 winning seasons and made the playoffs 6 times where he was 6-6. Coach Anderson led Marshall-Walker to the Central Region Final in 1985 before winning back-to-back region titles in 1986-1987. When his tour of the region was over he was 86-40-5.
