I would expect Fox to end up wherever he feels he can get to the field the fastest and help the team. It is very doubtful that will be as a slot receiver although he will probably line up in the slot some from his backfield position if he stays there. He is an extremely intelligent football player and has great field vision. He is very good at reading his blocking as well. If he does not stay in the offensive backfield there is a good chance Bud Foster would lobby to get him for the defensive backfield. He is a sure tackler and would provide added depth behind Chuck Clark and Terrell Edmunds. Not yet.
He's a player you can move around a lot. Lots of experiments go on in the Spring and Summer. He is a very intelligent player and rock steady. He'll contribute somewhere. When you're a Coach that gets such a hard working kid, you know that if you get him in the right spots on the right occasions, you'll almost always get positive results. But I still think that slot receiver spot is the best place for him. He reminds me of a Wes Welker.I would expect Fox to end up wherever he feels he can get to the field the fastest and help the team. He may just run slot out of the backfield, but he's very versatile and could be used in many spots either offense or defense. I think he can make the adjustment to wherever the coaches want to use him. He's a player you can move around a lot. Lots of experiments go on in the Spring and Summer. You and I agree here Mike......for a change. He may just run slot out of the backfield, but he's very versatile and could be used in many spots either offense or defense. I think he can make the adjustment to wherever the coaches want to use him.
