Do the Millbrook girls already have a regional bid locekd up based on winning the regular season? I think Conf. 21 does it a bit differently than the other conferences in Region 4A North. Is Millbrook the "Conf 21 Champ" for the regional bracket, or does that go to whoever wins the Conf. 21 tournament?

The rule was changed this year to guarantee the team with the best regular season conference record the #2 seed (runner-up) into the regional tournament, which is Millbrook. The #1 seed (champion) is determined by the conference tournament. This means Millbrook will at worst have the #2 seed into the regional tournament and could have the #1 seed if they win the tournament and the loser of the championship game will be the #2 seed. If another team wins the tournament, that team will be the #1 seed out of Conference 21 and Millbrook will be the #2 seed.

All I know is folks better not sleep on James Wood. JW got burned twice at the buzzer by Maddie Green in the regular season, so a Colonels "upset" is definitely possible. Then if that happens, I believe JW lost another close one to Loudoun County the only time the teams met.
You might just see James Wood join Millbrook as C21 reps. Could happen ... or Millbrook will come out really motivated and top the Colonels by 20.
