Here in the Valley, we have a Friday night TV show called The End Zone for recapping that night's action. It is not always the most accurate or most entertaining show, but it is better than nothing I guess.

This past Friday night, they were scrolling scores across the bottom of the screen and one of them was Nelson County having beaten Page County 39-0. I found that hard to believe at the time, because both teams have been struggling in recent years and I didn't see how there could be that much difference between them.

Well during the course of the show, they showed some highlights from the game and while showing those, they said that Page won the game 24-21, which seemed more believable. But every newspaper I have read since then gives the 39-0 score. So hopefully someone on here knows for sure.....what really happened in that game?

I'm with you longtimer, I have to wonder if Nelson has gotten that much better or if Page has gotten worse.

I believe someone put a bogus score on Score Scout, and sadly, media reported it as fact.

The local news here in the Valley highlighted a different program every week during the preseason. I remember hearing one of Page's captains say they were tired of losing and that this year's team would be different because they believed they can win. I guess those hopes have been dashed by now. I still wouldn't pack it in. They still get SJMJ and East Rock looks to have fallen off worse than I expected, but losing by 39 to Nelson has got to be disheartening.

Page will get their first win this Friday vs. Rappahannock County. My guess would be at least a 21-0 win.

Didn't attend the game but it was 12-0 Nelson at the half. From what I have gathered, the Panthers were disheartened at the half and didn't show up after half. If they want to get a win, this is the week to do it. If they let this opportunity pass, they won't win a game this year.
