FACTS DONT LIE SOMEBODY FUGDING NUMBER AT RIVERHEADS

There are a hand full of schools in the VHSL, that seem to change Classifications almost daily.

A poster somewhere above is correct in that VHSL is a weak organization. VHSL delegates too much stuff down. They need a Commissioner who rules with an iron fist. Give him the power he needs to govern all sports. When a school cheats, punish them. A good post season ban normally will work.

So basically CC found a loop hole, an embarrassing one to be sure, to help them POSSIBLY make the playoffs. Interesting. Hats off to them for, if nothing else, showing a gross flaw in the points system.

I'm not sure if that is why they pushed for the move. I am sure it had to do with not winning a game in the RRD in football for 4 years. A lot of districts are too big anyways. I think if districts were around 5-6 schools, you could probably get schools playing within one class of eachother, not have to mess with the points system, and that would allow schools to schedule 5 out of district games with regional or tougher competition.
For example, say you are a 4A and your district is mostly 3A, instead of getting 2 bonus points for each district game, just schedule a tougher OOD schedule against 4-5A's.

I mean the out of balance is crazy, 2A Martinsville and 6A Franklin County are in the same district. The beach district has 11 teams while the eastern shore and hogo only have 4. Districts are pointless anyways and only a way to force teams into scheduling cycles. If not for the 5-10 teams that would struggle to fill a schedule, it would almost be better if the VHSL just let everyone schedule their own 10 games, and let the points system decide playoffs as they do now. You would have schools like Essex playing more 3-5A schools and if CC wanted to play 1-2A's- go do it but those wins are only going to be worth 16 or 18 while Salem is playing schools giving them 24 or 26.

I agree. And football isn't the one sport affected. In many districts the schedule allows for the district play, county rival (Many counties have schools in different classifications or districts), and if lucky one other match. So if you are in a weak district...yikes! Up until the Ghany and CC moved it really looked like VHSL was trying to even up and shrink them down. So much for that. But hey, I'm sure all those 2A school will take the 4a win points.
