George Wythe foreits and Tuesday scores...

According to the RTD, Wythe will forfeit its 2 games this week due to the fact that they already played 22 regular season games. Since they did not play in a 23rd game, no action other than the forfeits will occur. Wythe Officials blamed "confusion of games not being benefit games" led to the overscheduling. Their record is 18-4. Do they go to 18-6 or stay at 18-4?

Hopewell clinched the #1 seed in Conference 26 with a 83-75 OT win over Matoaca. Devin Morgan tallied 32 for Matoaca and finish the season at 17-5 in Division 5A.

John Marshall lost to St. Christophers tonight at home by a score of 60-57. Nick Sherod and Alexander Petrie combined for 52 of St. Chris' 60 points.

Armstrong defeated Lee-Davis 75-36. Armstrong has been playing well as of late. Gone 5-3 in their last 8 games and the 3 losses were to Wythe, JM, and Henrico.

Petersburg lost to Meadowbrook tonight in overtime by a score of 80-67. Things fell apart in OT but no one should rest on Petersburg, when they put it all together they will be a tough matchup for anyone.

Thomas Jefferson lost to Deep Run tonight 56-27. Not sure if suspensions from last week still affecting TJ.

GW gets 7 points for each public school win plus 1 point per classification above them for a public school loss. Their forfeits will count as public school losses. This virtually locks them into the 3 seed. Conference semis could be a rematch of the last years state championship game with John Marshall locked into the 2 seed.

How many teams does C-26 send to the Region tournament? If it's only 2, then either JM or GW is going home in the Conference Semis. WOW!!!

How crazy is that! The two teams that met in the Conference, Regional, and State Finals last year will meet this year to determine which team goes home in the Semis of the Conference Tourney. Although Wythe and JM are going to have to get by most likely Petersburg and Huguenot in the first round. I can't wait for this tourney to start....
