Our coach says Gretna is the team to beat in C? Is that correct?

Martinsville and Gretna aren't that far away, so they share several common opponents. However, just looking at a few results - Gretna played Nelson County twice - they won by 6 and 9. Martinsville beat Nelson by 30. Gretna played EC Glass twice - lost by 2 or 3 and then won by 5. Martinsville also played Glass twice - the Lady Dogs won by 13 on the road and 33 at home.

It's all about matchups and these other scores sometimes don't mean too much, but those results appear to be somewhat significant in my view.

EDIT: MHS's record is skewed a bit because of losses to powerhouse Fleming, 4 combined losses to Magna Vista and Patrick County who are both still alive in the 3A tournament. Much like the MHS boys, their schedule is no cake walk.

I'm just glad to see the Lady Wolfpack get another opportunity to play at the state level again. Whether it be the Dogs, Floyd or Gretna, I look forward to it wherever it may be. :)
