Graham goes undefeated in the SWD and will host the SWD tourney next week.

Richlands hung around for a while.

Graham seems to almost always take it to another level come post season, in all sports.

Im sure they will play their best. I suspect they will win or be the runner up in region D. Dont see them competing with the likes of Radford however.

Well the SWD was wwaaayyyy down, Graham coasting thru is no surprise. Region tourney could be interesting, there's a few teams that Could potentially give Graham fits. GC without Ervin is still dangerous, Grayson, Union, Central, etc... Could win if Graham has an off night.

Haven't seen the others except for Gate City and Graham. I would still favor Gate City and Graham in that region with Gate City and Graham in a 50-50 toss up game to win the region. I believe Central, Union, and Grayson are all pretty good, but still think there's a little separation with Graham/Gate City and the rest. That separation is no where close to what it was last year.

Have you saw GC with Ervin being out? They're nowhere near as dynamic and they really habe to play team ball more to win if Dean doesn't explode and score 50. Union really hung around and had chances to win by throwing everything at Dean and making the supporting cast step up. They did, and GC won, but the gap is nowhere near as large as it has been.

I agree. Region D is down. Graham is not nearly as good as last season. They are a good team, but not capable of making a run at states. Whoever comes out of Region D will struggle mightily against the Region C teams.

Itll be a slaughter. Having to play Radford and whoever is second in C, whether it be Martinsville, Dan River, whoever, those teams should cruise this year. Three of the four best teams in Region D lost their best players to injuries with GC, Union and Wise. Likely only GC could have pushed any Region C team with their star out of that group, but without them, I can't see any D team winning.
maybe if Graham really clicks and wins the region and avoids the top seed in C, but from what I've seen, Graham is down as well with out Martin.

RegIon D is young tho, in two or three years there's a couple teams that should be really good if they continue their pace. I know Union has a very good group of young kids who win a lot at the JV level, same with GC, and two of Unions top 3-4 players are a soph and a freshman.

Graham has some good players at the JV level as well. Meadows and Graves are getting a ton of playing time as freshmen at the varsity level. Graham should be very good year after next and the following season.
