How does everyone see 2A East shaping up?

Thoughts and predictions on the games Tuesday and tourney as a whole? Should be interesting.

My humble predictions based on records and opponents:

Left bracket - Bruton is the team to beat with RE Lee or Prince Edward providing the biggest challenge.

Right bracket - Greensville is the team to beat with Brunswick or George Mason challenging.

I think the most interesting match-up will be the potential Brunswick at Mason quarterfinal game. Playing on Mason's home court (forcing Brunswick to travel four hours), Brunswick missing two starters and Brunswick having a very young team would throw the advantage to Mason. However, Brunswick is deep and they want another crack at Greensville.

Still praying for a Rivershead upset in the first round!

Bruton is pretty tough again. They play in a very competitive district with all 3A & 4A schools. They don't have a ton of size but play aggressively. Their only losses came to Grafton and Smithfield the top 2 teams in that league. I look for them to make the final four.

I think Lee is playing well but...facing a tough road as a 1 seed. Lee will host a very good Page County team tomorrow night and if they win....probably Prince Edward.

I will say that earlier this year Lee had Bruton down 41-30 at the half before losing 54-52. Lee is capable of a big run but...also capable of being knocked off tomorrow night. Lee has been playing well lately and their very tough schedule has made them battle tested.

I hope the Lee fans show up tomorrow night and give the Leemen support as win or go home begins.

I think it really depends on which Page Co. teams shows up tonight...the one who gets out and runs and makes foul shots, or the one who stands around on offense and have trouble at the line along with turnovers...I hope the one who gets out and runs shows up...but, Lee is a tough team to face in 1st round regardless
