Oakton missed some opportunities in the first half - the Cougars could turn a Lake Braddock fumble and two Lake Braddock interceptions into only 6 points - but that was hardly the story of this game. This one was the Dejoun Lee show. Lee scored five Bruin touchdowns, four either on long runs from scrimmage or long runs after tosses from quarterback Kyle Edwards; Lee is an impressive talent. Early on, though, Oakton actually held a brief lead, converting a Bruin fumble on the opening kickoff into a 30 yard scoring drive, all on the ground. But the extra point was missed and Lake Braddock quickly responded to go up 7-6 and the Bruins never looked back. Subsequent Oakton drives were stopped on a failed fourth and short and a missed field goal and by halftime it was 21-6. The Cougars were unable to threaten on the opening series of the second half and Lake Braddock wasted little time opening to a 28-6 lead, with Lee galloping 48 yards for what was then his third score of the night. He would finish with two more. Oakton's touchdowns were by David Allely on a short rush and Zion Green on a catch and run after a short pass from from Sal Tutone. Oakton closes their season at 5-6. Lake Braddock moves on the second round against West Springfield.
