Aaron Martin and TJ Pettway led the Bulldogs with 16 pts, 3 steals each.

EJ Bratcher had 10pts.

The Dawgs are a diff team without V. Holland but they can still be dangerous. I saw flashes of the possibilities 2nite.

A lot of quickness on the floor tonight. Pettway is a heckuva player. Once these guys get into bball shape should be a solid team. Also liked the use of the bench tonight. The defense was in mid season form.

I really think the Dawgs have a very goood season ahead of them. Pettway is the real deal.

Is this a Radford team thats the same caliber that they have been for years? If so MHS must be legit yet again this year. Pretty low scoring game.... was this just a defensive game or were the offenses sputtering a bit or a combo of both?

MHS's D is pretty stout already, but the O is a work in progress.

As for this game, Radford's PG went down within the first couple minutes of the game. That loss certainly changed things. Radford will be just fine.

With Martin and Hairston I'm sure the O will get on track quick....plus I heard the young guy is a huge addition. It's GCs lack of a big man and not-so ball hawking defense that concerns me. They are the exact opposite....their offense won't be the issue early on.

Is Radford's PG out for any significant amount of time with the injury he suffered....Or was it more precaution that he didn't return? I hear Radford may be making a splash back into 2A. That will certainly make things interesting come post season time every year.

both teams are special and Radford lost their best player early in this game. But neither team will be as dominate as last year. Both lost major difference makers in their big men at the 1A and 2A level. With that said they both maybe state champions again but it will not be the cake walk they both had last year.

Next year, Dan River, Martinsville, and Radford will all be in the same 2A region.

Martinsville may not be as dominant but they will be very much a dangerous team. Martinsville graduated some serious talent and it's hard to replace that.

Radford's PG went down in the first half. I still believe with him in there, the results would have still been the same. This was Martinsville 1st game. I expected them to be rusty. Holla bk at me once they get a few more games under their belts. This kid TJ Pettway is the real deal. If I were Coach Adkins, I would press teams til they could no longer breathe. Dawgs will be deep. I would Sunset Park teams to death.

This game was Martinsville's first game. I expected them to be rusty. Give them a couple of more games. Then people will see what's what.
