Maury cruised to an easy win on senior night while clinching the Eastern District title with an 81-0 win over Churchland. It is the third 80+ point shutout win for Maury in the last four weeks.
Senior Melvin Lowe scored the first two touchdowns from 17 & 38 yards out and the Commodores never looked back. Duke commit Da'Vontae Floyd added a 51-yard touchdown reception from AuTori Newkirk before the end of the 1st half.
The Maury defense completed their 3rd straight game with a shutout. South Carolina commit Fred Johnson and defensive tackle Frank Fields III led the defense. Senior Lavontay Bond intercepted a pass and senior Tre Taylor returned a fumble for a touchdown.
