Love it. Hope he does well and then comes to Virginia Tech as their head coach.
He literally just made it official less than an hour ago
Norfolk State football alumnus here. I don't love the hire because he's never coached a down of football. BUT I 100% get it. I genuinely hope it works but there are plenty more "deserving" black coaches who could've got the job.
They are looking for the Deion effect although, to your point, Deion had coached high school football. It seems they are looking for more of a motivator of men than a playcaller.
