Nansemond River Vs Granby Updates

Nansemond River cruised to an easy 10-2 win over the Granby Comets to move on to the Eastern Region semi-finals. Senior Kyle Moore drove in four runs with a homerun and a double, and Brandon Lowe added a base-clearing three run triple for the Warriors who reach the second round of the Region tournament for the second straight year.
Moore double in the frst inning to give Nansemond River a 2-0 lead and he got his third extra-base hit of the game with a homerun over the left field fence for a 10-0 lead.
Tyler Brown pitched all seven innings throwing a shutout before allowing a 2-run double from Devin Hemmerich in the top half of the seventh. Brown also doubled in two runs in the fourth for a 4-0 lead. Brandow Lowe followed with a bases-clearing triple a few batters later for a commanding 7-0 lead.
Nansemond River will now face the Peninsula District champion Menchville Monarchs in the Eastern Region semi-finals.
