Precisely what has happened. They're also moving up the June 15th plan to May 28th. The CDC dropped a bombshell around 2 PM without tipping off any state administrations and people just expect government policies affecting millions of citizens to be flipped like a light switch, just a bit ridiculous. They came back today, got in step with the CDC, and it's over.
We really are just a horrendously impatient nation. This era of instant-everything has caused the young and the geriatric both to lose all sense of self-control.
He wanted for cooper of NC at 1:30 to say full CDC compliance, forced his hand at 4:00pm. He has always wanted for others to follow , never leads. After 43 years as a Controller in a fortune 100 company I can spot leaders and followers in an instant.
Like you, I was hesitant and I don’t trust ANY government as far as I can throw a train. I had Covid and though I’m fine now, I still can’t smell 100% and I have a God awful smell and taste that comes and goes as my senses are in the process of healing. I was diagnosed with that crap 6 months ago. I say that to say, if you can avoid catching that junk, take all measures to avoid it. The virus itself feels like something made in a lab, everything about it. It’s not a natural feeling like a cold or a flu and I wouldn’t wish the feelings associated with it on anyone. I got my two shots and I’m one of the ones going maskless.

You're not even supposed to believe such a thing, let alone say it out loud.... by the same politicians, media, and paid "experts" who are now telling us these vaccines are 100% safe and we're stupid for believing otherwise. I'll pass.
And as Rev_Real pointed out, people are now being bribed to take them. Now with money, but before with unhealthy foods. Krispy Kreme for a year? Seriously?
I'm still highly skeptical that the powers that be are going to just give back all the power they've usurped over the last 14 months. It will be interesting to see what happens as the variants start to get pushed by the msm. Perhaps nothing will be said now that they have who they want in office. We'll see.
Other than that I have many concerns about the vaccine but I'm not here to deter people from getting if they want it. Was never my intent. I'd encourage people to dig a little deeper but to each their own. Glad you had no adverse reactions, I've seen too many stories that didnt turn out that way.

My taste is probably close to 100%. I can smell at times but my allergies hasn’t helped. That foul smell and taste has been the worst, post COVID. It tastes and smells just like chemicals. That period of absolutely no taste and smell, those delusions in the middle of the night and isolation for 10 days was enough for me to get the vaccine in hopes that I never have to experience that again. I hope you have a speedy recovery brother!
Well, it does Jussie. Having a lack of smell is a far cry from the "falling dead in the street" narrative you and the goofball from Salem were trying to push for the last year.
I'm sorry these two men are dealing with that but I'm going to venture to guess neither one feels we need to shut down our lives over it.

Yeah I’m with you. America has a long, dark history with vaccinations that has caused this mistrust. Had I not experienced COVID firsthand, I wouldn’t have taken the shot. I respect the ones who aren’t getting it. At the end of the day, the man upstairs has the final say and is our ultimate protector. I thank him for healing me and giving me a new chance at life. I did not take heed to the warnings and didn’t play it safe.. I suffered the consequences and a valuable lesson was learned. The media has ruined our country with scare tactics and one sided propaganda from the idiots in charge. You know what pisses me off? I’ve gotten the shots and it’s mandated by our “government” that if we got the shot, we are free to not wear masks unless it’s a school or medical facility.. I went to quite a few stores this weekend and was told that I needed to put a mask on. Who’s really following the rules?
It's not so much that I mistrust vaccines. I mistrust THIS whole event. From the beginning the media and politicians have been shady as all get out with it. It's very unsettling. And now with the push for passports and forced vaccinations? We're stepping into some territory that should concern people. Especially when the death numbers have been so skewed and the guidance has been all over the place. And the fact that this virus seems to be capable of whatever the media and "experts" decide it's capable of causing.
I respect peoples decision to get it and I remember being worried when you told me you would be getting it a while back. I'm glad you made it through safely. But it does need to remain optional only without the Star of David-esque shaming that the MSM and politicians are wanting.
Huge corporations like Amazon and others have made billions due to people being at home, they're in no hurry for us to go back to normal.
If you really want people to get the vaccine keep no record of who gets it. Get rid of the cards they act just like the (LOL) dreaded chip. Just keep demographic data for research but no identifying information.

My guess is at this point people have either decided to take it or not take it. During the "15 days to stop the spread" era I recall vividly articles already talking about vaccine passports and that type of thing, no thanks. Sort of defeats the purpose of that whole 15 days when the discussion has already turned to passports doesnt it?
I'd guess the constant "you're an idiot if you dont take it and you'll be dead, dead dead!" rhetoric pushed by the MSM and powers that be has not helped either.
The cards don't really identify anything at face value, though. Your health insurance, driver's license, and voter cards are more damning. But I bet most people complaining about passports don't even travel abroad. Countries have required proof of vaccination for certain diseases for decades, it's not new. Look at the list just for the Bahamas. Hopefully this noise about COVID passports is temporary, but I doubt it'll really take off anyway. India's new cases are dropping, hopefully hospitalizations and deaths will soon.
I'm just glad the internet didn't exist back in 1955, or Polio would still be going strong today because of the loud noise from idiots.

If we give private companies the right to require giving them our medical records to use their services, they're gonna at least be negligent in keeping our info safe and secure and at worst they'll sell the info like they sell our browsing data now.

No no not at all. Pornography has been around for literally thousands of years. They've found explicit cave paintings. My point was the adult material now is way more extreme and wild compared to the 50s.
I think you were misunderstanding the point I was trying to make. Initially it was just a joke about how tame pornography was back then compared to now. II can't believe I have been talking this long about porn (never mind).
Heck the two piece bikini didn't come until the late 1940s and weren't popular in the US until the 60s and even then there was controversy around them. Not many people fretting over two piece bikinis in 2021 lol.
