GW and Pulaski Tied 14-14 and Liberty beat our varsity 6-0 and our JV 6-0. It was a good showing for My MAROONS we have some things to work on but I'm pleased with what I saw and excited to see what they really have.

I stayed and watched the 1st Q of the Liberty vs Galax game and liberty won 2-0.
Galax has potential but they need some work from what I saw. This isn't disrespect just my opinion.

I would not get too excited because you tied PC. They are not very good this year and need a lot of work themselves. As I have said previously their saving grace is a SOFT schedule. The line is probably as thin skill and depth wise as it has ever been. I think PC should be more concern about the fact they tied GW then you are excited. Just my opinion..

Yeah Pulaski is down no doubt but they are also 4A. A 5-5 4A is a 7-3 1A yeah we aren't as big or a deep but but we are still pretty talented. GW will be just fine this year baring and big injuries. GW should be 9-1 at the worst minus and surprise losses. But if you want my 100% honest opinion region A or B is where you champion comes from this year. And if I'm made to pick now my pick is Essex or RH. But I have no doubt GW will be around come late November maybe early December. And with the right team building they can make it to state imo. I will be the 1st to say we aren't what we were last year. But that is by no means me saying we aren't still damn good for the 1A level. We are all entitled to our opinion and I definitely respect yours. But with what I saw tonight I'm proud of My MAROONS and feel like we will have another GW type of season.

I helped do the chains on wythes side. They kept starters in the whole time. PC only played the starting defense the first series of the scrimmage. And the starting offense the first qtr. then the second game they destroyed Rustburg.

Yeah we played our 1s the whole 1st game against PC. But the second one against Liberty we played our 1s the first Q then or 2s played they whole 2nd Q. Except for Dawson ans sadly he got hurt I hope it's not to serious but it didn't look good.

That's a good showing for PC they are better than a most are giving them credit for. And that QB is nice for them.

I agree GW is a very solid team and has plenty of talent for any level. My point was that PC with the exception of the new QB and the transfer receiver from GW are lacking in a lot of positions especially the line(s). They (PC) should go 8-2 or 7-3 at worst due to the SOFT schedule but when they face a quality team they will struggle IMO. They simply have no depth in the trenches. Again just my opinion.

Galax did not lose to Rustburg. It is worth mentioning that they started 5 freshman and did not let there first or second string back(s) run the ball. The kid running the ball was a freshman and 3rd string. But he looks like he will be something to watch in the future. I thought of all the teams there Galax was the most physical IMO. They are very young this year and with Dixon and the coaching staff they have in place now things could get real interesting in time.

The score was 7-0 Rustburg and if im not mistaken it was 6 freshmen but you might be right it may have been 5. Games like this don't mean much, Dixon doesn't show anything and uses them to evaluate his players

They looked strong up front and that QB is a damn good player. That kid is a horse lol and having EJ Horton at WR will help some.

If they struggle early then the whole season will be in jeopardy. Their first real test in my opinion will not come until they play Blacksburg I believe week #7. As I said based on the schedule they SHOULD finish 8-2 or 7-3 at worst . It will be another year of not really knowing how good or bad PC is because of the schedule. They should come into the game with Blacksburg undefeated or at worst potentially 1 loss. Their scrimmages have not been much better either by again playing down as opposed to trying to scrimmage quality teams that can provide a true measuring stick of where you are. There is no reason PC should be scrimmaging Radford ,George Wythe and in some cases Giles in my opinion regardless of how good those programs may or may not be. They have fallen into this mind set of trying to manufacture success and that simply does not cut it come playoff time as we have seen in the past with one and done.
