Region B Playoffs A Joke

If this conspiracy is orchestrated to the level that two different school district superintendents can convince the AD’s they deal directly with and the group that meets to decide this stuff statewide? Then I want to know if this guy can run for another office with more impact cause he is either a gangster or the most persuasive individual we have seen in high school sports.

It is a broken system for sure but the insinuation that there is constant and consistent wrongdoing to accomplish this shows either a lack of maturity or comprehension. Who benefits from that? Does the VHSL get that much money from the gate at the games involving the Red team? GTFOH with that.

We travel well and i believe us to be good hosts regardless of which division we play in. The consistency of the regular season record against a predominantly 2A schedule proves out that the team is good year in and out. Put us in whichever division or region you want and this team will show up and play.

The last structure at least kept the whining to a minimum. Whichever setup that is put out there, is gonna have to be adjusted to gain balance.

I am gonna say again if Altavista, William Campbell, Central and Riverheads are playing well it is by far the hardest Region in football. How many titles by region in 1A with current teams the only consideration? I will wait...........
No one is against Riverhead, but the facts are the facts Region B needs a fix , if it was Region A I would say the same . The Tri- Rivers and NN are brutal Sussex plays 3a and 2a schools during regular season. Essex should be pissed as the 1 seed ! Good luck to your Gladiators you have a great program and a great community , my beef is with Vhsl! Also Altavista won state as an combined school.

Glad to see you back on here man!

Hey Man, how have you been? Good to see the Leemen playing some quality ball this year!

So something else about this whole 0-10 team thing that bothers me is the fact that there is a 1A school that deserves to be in the playoffs over top of Stonewall Jackson: Rappahannock County. However, since RappCo refuses to play by the VHSL's funky district rules they are not allowed in, even with a 6-4 record. Sounds silly to me.

Looks like it would make sense to move Parry McCluer, Covington, Bath, and Highland to Region B.
That adds 3 football teams to region for total of 9 football teams eligible for playoffs. Puts 14 total schools in Region. It does leave Region C with only 8 schools so somebody from Southwest VA can figure out who to potentially move from D to C to balance those out. Just a thought.

Altavista is a Combined School. All it means is Middle School (6,7,8) and High School (9,10,11, 12) are in the same building. My question is what Combined School have to with anything.

VHSL should put schools where they belong, not allow them to play where they want to. VHSL needs a Commissioner who can rule with an iron fist. VHSL will never be run correctly until they get one.

I understand Region B has teams that have alot of championships even if some are down this year but just dont see how you can make one region have gauranteed playoff spots before season even begins. Only six of the seven teams in this region are eligibile for playoffs so they new first game they were in playoffs.

"IF" individual ADs or districts refuse to go to B isn't that a issue with them and not the VHSL?

The teams currently in B aren't at fault.

I not sure what a magnet school is, but Altavista is not one.
"In the U.S. education system, magnet schools are public schools with specialized courses or curricula. "Magnet" refers to how the schools draw students from across the normal boundaries defined by authorities (usually school boards) as school zones that feed into certain schools."

In other words, kids from other districts can attend their school.

Region B was rigged.

Those familiar with Region, should know how it happened.

VHSL should put schools in right place, not schools themselves.

Thornhill Titles ( Crickets) LOL Just kidding Altavista had a great team during the title seasons, I thought your defense was outstanding!

VHSL has nothing to do with regional or district tournaments.....

The problem isn't with Region B -- Its the schools/AD/districts who don't want to be in Region B
