I was impressed by the way Richlands put their foot to the floor once they got behind and just did what ever they wanted once they woke up. They really played well after the 17 to 0 start.
That is why coach Mance hates homecoming with all it's distractions.
Also like the way the coaching staff made adjustments after the 1st qtr and shut down the Va high receiver ( Sewell ) don't believe he had a catch after the 1st qtr, and completely shut down their running game, BUT, the Blues are going to have to start playing from the start of the game. This is 2 weeks in a row that they have come out flat in the 1st qtr. That will eventually catch up to them if they don't get that fixed.
I'm sure Mance and company will address that this week. They are so balanced and can be very explosive when they are clicking.
Their D, especially the front 7 are very good and hard hitting, but early in a couple of games they have gave up some big plays ( usually passing ), but I will say that the kid from Va high ( Sewell ) is the real deal and has the size ( 6' 4" ), speed and great hands and runs really good routes. He has the ability to play at the next level, not sure what division, but can play at the college level.
BIG test next week for the Blues with Bluefield coming up ! Better not come out flat next week.
They can beat Bluefield, but will need to play all 4 qtrs.
