Radford 52 Martinsville 49 (Mens). The first half was a defensive battle where Radford held Martinsville to 16 points. Martinsville would come back with in 1point in the second half 3 times. In the end Radford came out on top winning with great shooting from behind the arc, shooting 13-14 3's.

Game kind of went like I expected. Mavahi hadn't played since they played Radford on 12-21 and they came out flat against a good team and you can't do that. The Bobcats really attacked Martinsville zone well and shot lights out behind the 3 arc. The Dogs battled back and got it down a 1 point game several times and had the ball a couple of times with a chance to take the lead but Radford made the plays when they had to. These teams could play 10 times and I don't know who would come out on top. Probably the team who could get the refs to call the block/charge their way the most. Wish high schools had the block/charge halos on the floor under the baskets to help the refs out.
As if I really even need to ask but how is Quinton doing? While I was attending Radford Univ, my better half worked at his elementary school and we lived in Heather Glen while he lived right over our fence on 16th. He and his older brother would be shooting in their drive way every single day. He would come to the Glen and play football with some kids and his body control and footwork blew me away for such a young kid. I knew then(3 years ago) that he was going to be a special basketball player. His best asset is his "feel" for the game. He understands little things that kids his age don't normally know. Plays and looks similar to Chris Paul. Sky is the limit for him, comes from great family as well. Bobcats will be cutting down the 1A nets in a few months. Buzz Williams better get over to Raddy and get with this young buck before he blows up. Between him and little PJ Prelieu(sp?), Radford HS athletics is going to be a force for the foreseeable future. Quinton is doing a excellent job. They have him starting at point, where I'm guessing he's averaging about 10 points a game along with 6-7 assist if not more. He is very impressive for a freshman. I've been keeping up with the game for sometime now and I cant remember a freshman that was better. I mean he's just a good kid all the way around. I really enjoy watching him play. I call him Fresh
Cormany always has 1 or 2 guys that are dominant players for 1A level. Dontae Carter, Nate Jones, Marcus Finley, Quinton is next in line. I'd be shocked if they aren't in the final 4 and surprised if they didn't win it all. Are you guys senior heavy this year? What grade is Finley?
Im not familiar with many east teams. But on the west side I would say George Wythe and you can never count out Galax as Radford learned last year
