Skyline rolled up 436 total yards of offense on their way to a 38-14 thumping of William Monroe in Stanardsville.

Aidan Vaught led the way for the Hawks, rushing for 140 yards and 3 touchdowns and throwing for another TD. Cole Britton had 68 yards rushing and Alijah James added 54.

Vaught was 3-4 passing for 113 yards, one touchdown and one interception. The touchdown pass was a 72 yard bomb to Isaiah Maxwell.

A Marcus Lambert kickoff return TD and a 25 yard field goal by Drew Woodall accounted for the other points scored.

The Hawks stopped the Dragons on their first two possessions, with safety Brody Stephens leading the way both times. On the first series, he had a red zone interception to give the ball back to the Hawks and on the 2nd possession, he scooped up a fumble and had a big return which was shortened by an illegal block after the change of possession.

The Hawks scored on their first two possessions, Vaught's 72 yard pass to Maxwell and then Vaught's 7 yard run.
The Dragons got on the board with 5:06 left in the first half, but Marcus Lambert Ii had his 2nd kick return touchdown in his last 3 games to extend the lead to 21-7 Vaught then added a 2 yard run 5o push the lead to 28-7 That lead was narrowed to 28-14 just before halftime on a pass from Griffieth to Powell-Jackson.

The Hawks added the field goal and an 11 yard touchdoqn run by Vaught to finish off their scoring.

The Hawks move to 4-3 on the year and will host Central-Woodstock next week.
