Since I was defiantly feeling State Title 2017, regardless of who the Head Coach was or who played QB. It didn't matter, this year it was going to happen again, and it felt good.

After all the talk about who was there and who was gone, I had to stop by and see what was going on. George Wythe is missing several key underclassman from last year’s team.

I left the high school and I did not feel so good anymore. Personally I was thinking "why would they keep this terrible coach and let their star student athletes leave, if he was indeed the cause to this catastrophe."

"How are they going replace four 1a all-state seniors; Anderson, Moss, Owens, Bishop. Plus #7 and #19, I had heard #19 was playing, but he is not playing for GW. They lost their best two returning talents. No way to overcome these losses, the players just are not there. "

I needed to know more about what had caused this to go this way. So I went and talked to these student athletes to see why they left. What I was told" While we (the coach and player) had our differences he (the coach) did not facture into the decision not to play at GW." That being said....

GW only plays against three give-me’s……this season will be a long one for the roons. Guess we will see how good the Head coach and the QB really are in 2017, but I now feel their season will end in early November and the field they spent all that money on will not make it thru October.

I'd add Grayson to that I just don't see them keeping up.

Throw Rural Retreat, Chilhowie, and Marion in there too.

I think Marion and Chilhowie might surprise a few people. Especially in the regular season I do think GW will beat them but they might give us a game.

RR always plays tough also, but combined GW is 49-5 against the six mentioned.

That they do no doubt I've said it before and I'll say it again. If RR has 1 old lady and a goat they would play us tough. Yeah sometimes we walk away with a blowout but not that often. And yes our records against those 6 are pretty amazing some of them have been building for a few years. And I think this year could be the year that building bears fruit. Maybe not with a win but a really good showing. I think GW is a 9-1 or 10-0 team with Galax being the only real question. But I think we will be more tested this season than we were last season. We hung 40+ on every team we beat but PM and we scored 35 on them. 3 teams I see giving us a game are Galax, Marion and Chilhowie with Radford being a question. And the other 6 I think we can win big against like last year.

Either Teion Brown or Isaiah Sawyers with both getting heavy carries. And Landon Thompson will be an absolute monster carrying the rock he is alot like Tyler Hardin. And we will have Rayvon Wells who is Scrappy Wells little brother getting some time.

Blaster- Where does all that size come from at GW? Looking at roster that is a big bunch of boys.

We're just blessed to usually have some big kids. We spot em young in sandlot and keep em in the game.
