Surry ends season on high note with upset win over Sussex!

Just to say in 2001 Sussex only had 4 offensive starters return center two tight ends and a quarterback and on the defensive side only two true starters from the year before and they were linebackers they lose a lot of players from graduation and from off field issues for you to stay they had all them returning Jr's and seniors i can just lol because it was about thirty some player all together on that team just some facts for you

Once again read carefully and look back at your history. I see you have 01 in your username so you should know! First I never said that they started. I said the QB's played and one played in the regional playoffs(lost in the Reg. Championship). Next, they had more than 30 players.

JR's- A.Jones, L. Jackson, M. Garrett, L. Hyman, J. Bailey, D. Baines, W. Ricks, P. Perry, C. Garrett, P. Claiborne, D. Taylor(not a returner but played a significant role, scored in the state game), and Im sure I missed two or three.
SR's-Faltz, Sanders, Graves, Gay, Smallwood, De. Taylor, Cooper, Winfield, can't remember the rest but Im around 80% sure that I left out a few.

And they had a Soph. class who started that year and received several awards: K. Jackson(Safety). Baines(DL), Simms(DL), N. Johnson(DL). As you can see I just named 23 names and I left off a running back(A. Rose) who rushed for 1,000 in the playoffs(4 games). As well as people who played roles in the passing game that year: V. Jones, R. Jones(Hop), E. Gardner. This number is not including the freshman and soph. who were on the team that didn't play alot. So that's a fact for you...they had way more than 30 PLAYERS. Know your history..it is still all love but just know when it comes to that program I have and will continue to study the history. Good try though

I'm a tiger for life first of all. I was just saying how many returning starters where on that team that year. But I see that u have a couple of names up here that didn't play that year . It's no way I can compare this year team with that one like u said it wasn't that many returning starter that year but they did have a lot of time on the field the year before. I wasnt Saying Anything Bad But Football Is Not The Same Rules changes and all. To Me It Just Got Soft On All levels

I posted the roster on the previous post but no big deal. Glad you saw what I was trying to get SEL to see. A couple of games they lost this year was based on youth not talent. But either way GLAD we can agree that no matter what it is TIGERPRIDE FOR LIFE!
