I didn't think winning by 15 points is struggling? York had very many stops against Petersburg... should be an interesting game of Phoebus vs York. Yorks offense coming into full swing, home feild advantage, and losing to phoebus in the same spot last year may play big into their favor....

A late TD put them up 2 scores lol...York rallied to win.

York isn't good enough to beat Phoebus, I'm sorry. Talked to Tabb people last night and they laughed at the idea of York beating Phoebus. I know it's football but common opponents York won 17-13 and 10-7 and Phoebus beat them 42-7 and 46-7. York has gotten by all year and will be exposed Friday. Like I been saying I can't wait for Phoebus vs Hopewell now that's the game I can't wait to see. (And I don't play for the team so save the "don't look ahead" comments bc the kids aren't)

Ill go by what a Phoebes fan said on here a while ago about Phoebus last year playing down to opponents. I believe York has the same problem. It seems though everytime coming into a tough matchup, people pick against York and yet they always prevail. Last year looking at head to head scores it looked like York would have gotten stomped out by Phoebus (only beating parkview 17-14 and losing to Warhill 17-14). But yet they went and played a really close game that York had a great chance of winning until there running back fumbled the ball backfiring one of Yorks last drives... I believe it should be a very close game. The game will add up to less penalties in my opinion.

You keep talking about last year...last year is beyond meaningless. I forgot we even played York in the playoffs. Let's talk about this year and the fact Phoebus defense has only given up 39 points on this 10 game win streak (62 all year). The thing that most people don't know is this team has been playing together since youth league and they understand it's their last chance to play together so that playing down to competition thing has been out the window as of lately. York has a STUD in #1 but besides that nothing else that is really that special. In my opinion they don't even use him correctly and ironically he grew up playing FBU with most of the kids on this Phoebus team so they're very familiar. I see a 28-7 type game...could be more if they open it up and get the WRs involved because York couldn't do anything with #4 last night and Phoebus' #4 is a lot better

I was at the game and had to leave early due to my son getting cold, but LHS was playing undisciplined football. The officials were horrible, but equally horrible for both teams. Lafayette allowed themselves to get caught up in the smack talk and stopped playing their game. Also, 5 first half fumbles and an INT is enough to kill any team. Hopefully they pull it out, but it was sloppy ball

We heard how great Lafayette was for weeks and the lower seeded Norcom dominated the Rams on their field. The Rams have a good program but Norcom plays a much tougher schedule and it showed. Lake Taylor, Churchland, Hopewell, and Maury. All teams that has advanced to the second round of the playoffs.

I’ve said on here this year that the Bay Rivers has too many weak football teams and nothing of the caliber Norcom and others play and Lafayette should try to alter its schedule. But I doubt that will ever happen. They only have one OOD game they can play and they did schedule Goochland, the 1 seed in 3B. But weeks of playing Grafton, Jamestown, Bruton, New Kent, etc. leaves a gap. Next year the schedule will be weak again as York and Warhill were Senior laden and no one else looks to be that much improved from this year.
