Warwick (1-1) at Bethel (0-2) . . . The Bruins are still seeking their first win under new Head Coach William Beverley and have come awful close twice against quality opponents. Don’t expect them to be winless much longer. Bethel has won four straight in this head-to-head series, including by margins of 42-7 last year and 31-0 in 2013. Warwick, under the direction of second-year Head Coach Corey Hairston, will rely heavily on senior RB Demonte Good for offensive production. Good ran for 147 yards and two touchdowns in the season opener, a 27-18 victory over Granby.

Ten penalties for 110 yards hurt the Raiders last week along with giving up 190 yards through the air in a 36-18 loss to Newport News rival Heritage. Surely one would suspect that there will be some changes and new wrinkles offensively for the Bruins after losing in triple-overtime to Phoebus by a score of 7-0. That came after a 14-8 loss to Indian River, where the defense held the Braves to 12 yards rushing on 28 attempts. Look for another stout performance from the defense, led by DE Isaiah Norris, LB’s Deshomd Denny and Josh Hagins, and DB T.C. Chisley.
