Surry at 3-1 (only loss to Northumberland) will change the East ratings a tad. Surry beat a 2A Greenville with at least one win. Northumberland will get a nice little boost. All points help down the road...

gladiators01, what are the updated numbers if you have them? Your boys got a big one v the Gap, two undefeated ranked teams going at it. I got the game as the top one but there are a lot of good battles on the schedule this weekend!

Dre, Sel2, can Surry take down Franklin (both 3-1)? Should be a good one and may shake some things up down there.

Yes sir uvacavs1, we will have our hands full on Friday with Buffalo Gap. Current #1 seed in 1A-East vs current #1 seed in 2A-East. Should be a heck of a game as long as the rain doesn't have a major effect on the game. Cant wait till Friday!!

Park View beat Franklin 44-14 and ratings has Franklin 4-0. There has to be a better system than this to cut down all of the confusion!

Yep, so they need to fix Franklin(3-1), Surry(3-1), Northumberland(4-0), and Northampton(3-2). Then the ratings should match up to what I have.

Yes, the original ratings that the VHSL put out had a few mistakes. They have since updated the ratings and the ones at the top of this thread are correct.

Surry can take down Franklin if they stick to the air. Surry's strength is their passing game and Franklin has been suspect in that (especially against Park View). Franklin will win if they can control the ball and "control the ball" (not fumble). Surry is winning the close games and that's what is helping them. Should be a good contest when they meet.

Once again you need to do your research TwobyFour. He was ejected in the West Point game and served a one game suspension. Surry appealed and won the appeal so he is playing this week.

But it doesn't change the fact they only scored 2 offensive tds against WP, basically by throwing up hail mary jump balls. . That is not the mark of a good football team. I stand by my original statement which is 100% factual

I'm not 100% but the VHSL only reduces suspensions after both Principals and/or the official that ejected the player agrees.

Correct dringtuoti. The appeal was agreed upon by VHSL, the officials, and the appealing school. With today's technology, video evidence probably played in part in the reduction.
