Nope. If all of those teams win out (and even if Appo loses one), Union is pretty much locked into 5th. It would take a big upset somewhere.

A chance? Yes. Likely? No.

If Union finishes 9-1 it would take one of two scenarios for them to move past 5...
1. At least one of the top 4 would need to finish 8-2
2. Burton, Eastside, Crockett, Letcher, Ridgeview, and Lee would need to defeat 9 or their remaining 11 non-Mountain District opponents.

In summary...nope. Haha

We are almost locked into the #5 seed. Even if we lost to Letcher, we would most certainly outpoint #6 Glenvar.

There is a high probability that a 10-0 Richlands finishes as the #1 seed. Even over a 10-0 Appomattox, so if that happens, we would be on the Richlands side of the bracket.

Appomattox does have two 3A teams and one 4A on their schedule as opposed to Richlands' one 3A, so they can outpoint them on base game points by 6. However, Richlands' opponents can finish the season with 6 more wins than the Raiders. That's a difference of 12 bonus points. That gives Richlands 6 net points more than Appomattox.

Not saying this will happen, but it's a strong possibility.
