The only one I can think of on the central-east side of the state is Franklin. They play at Armory Field.
Schools in the Northern Neck/Tidewater districts that once hosted home games off campus include:
Rappahannock (old Warsaw High School until like 1978 I believe)
Essex (old Tappahannock High School until 1977)
Lancaster played at the previous Lancaster High School until around 1977 or 1978. Lancaster will open a new school in 2026 and they are going to have an artificial turf football field. Will probably be the best football/track & field complex around this area.
King and Queen Central played home games in West Point during the formative years of its football program.
In fact, the West Point stadium may have been off campus. I believe they started playing games at the present West Point High School in 1978 in a different configuration than the present one. I'm pretty sure the old West Point stadium was a combo field featuring a grandstand for baseball.
Charles City used to play at the county's recreation complex. Dre can fill us in on when games moved to the current high school.
PS: If I brought up this topic previously forgive me as my old age is catching up to me!

Charles City played games at the park and recreation campus until 1995. The current school complex was completed in 1993 but the field/track wasn't ready until 1995.

Will Lancaster have adequate permanent seating? I went to a Rappahannock playoff game last Fall just to check it out and was extremely disappointed in the lack of seating.

I believe Luray is dropping to 1A, and the last game I attended was a playoff game between Luray/Middlesex and it was just off Route 33 near Elkton (Bulldog Field).

The high school is in Rocky Gap which I never understood putting it there instead of Bland but I digress. The football field is located in Bastian about ten minutes up interstate from the high school.
I may be mistaken, but didn't they used to have a high school in both Bland and Rocky Gap?. I don't recall Rocky Gap ever having a football team, but seems to me they did have a basketball team way back when

Yes, when they consolidated in school year 2014-2015 , I believe-they decided to put the high school at Rocky Gap and the elementary school at Bland. Crazy thing is, this season I think they ended up playing the majority of the middle school & high school basketball games at the elementary. They may played volleyball there too.

I wouldn't think that Lancaster would construct a turf field stadium and punk out on the seating.. Hopefully they will have something like King William which has almost the same capacity the visitor's side as the home side from around the 20 to 20 yard iines
Yes, Rappahannock has the lowest seating capacity in the NND.
Here's how I'd rank seating capacities in the NND:
HOME
1. Westmoreland
2. Esse
3. Lancaster
4. Northumberland (2-4 very close)
5. Colonial Beach (they got new bleachers for their home side last fall)
6. Rappahannock
VISITOR
1. Westmoreland
2. Northumberland
3-5 Lancaster, Essex and Rappahannock (all close) Use those portable bleachers you usually see at Little League baseball fields
6. Colonial Beach (like 3-5 but less

Welcome to Class 1 facilities for a lot of schools. Dirt tracks and almost zero visitor seating. I just sit on the home side and keep my mouth shut at small school venues.

That's what I did at the Rappahannock vs. Essex Playoff Game in Warsaw. No real dog in the right. Just wanted to see something different.

And I happened to sit by some really nice people who were pulling for both teams. A touch cramped, poor football though, but a decent experience.
