went through this rather quickly, more than likely winner of this game has a chance of being #1 seed if the winner of this game wins out
numbers below likely not totals mathematically, figured likely games with no upsets and left zero on low end if toss up.
If Carroll was to beat James River and Alleghany that would put Galax or GW at 216, I left as toss ups even though they beat Giles

Galax
212-225 9 games
at 216 would be 24
------------------------
GW
212-229 9 games
at 216 would be 24
---------------------------
Narrows
226-236 10 games 23.6 max

Plenty of games to be played so could change.

I was working on this this morning as well. I believe the winner of that game will out point Narrows if they win out. I certainly believe Narrows will win out and the winner of the GW /Galax game will have a good chance to.
Carroll County winning a couple games will be a key. If GW wins this game and wins out I think they definitly will out point Narrows as Gate City and most likely Radford will both win out. Unless Glenvar gets Radford.

I hadnt worked on anything out west but you guys got me thinking so I did so figuring and came up with the following;
1. I have Narrows ending undefeated at 232 points or 23.2. I don't see them getting additional riders beyond that beings that I have them with 35 opponent wins.

2. I have a one loss GW finishing at 218 for 24.2. IF they lose to Galax I have them at 199 for a 22.11. Opponents win total for GW is at 41.

3. I have a one loss Galax finishing at 24.67. If they lose to GW I have them at 202 or 22.44. Opponents win total for Galax is at 41.

Its gonna be real tight to be honest and if there is an upset or two outside their own game it will complicate it even more.
So the OP is absolutely correct, a one loss GW or Galax should certainly outpoint Narrows for home field in the Region.

So are you guys thinking that 1-2-3 land like this ?
1. GW/Galax winner if they win out and loser at 3
2. Narrows if they win out
3. Loser GW/Galax

That's what I worked out. If the games play out like either one of those scenarios - GW will play Grayson first round if the lose and finish out 7-2, which makes them playing twice within a 3 week span. and Galax would play Grayson back to back games if they lose to GW and finish 7-2 I don't see Grayson moving up or dropping down out of sixth place.

Yes, the top 3 will shake up like that. Even if GW or Galax loses more than just the game between each other, I don't think Auburn has enough points to move up third over a 3 loss GW or Galax.
