This is so silly. The info I gave on Salem football was from an article from a very accomplished writer from the Roanoke Times. A big win for Jefferson Forest . The Cavaliers have a very classy coach and program. I am glad there are adults on here. I enjoy high school football. My son played for Salem. By posting about Salem football or any other team has nothing to do with any other team. We are fans. Thank you GUNZ for a nice post. Through this post you are not propping up Salem football but just recognizing a trait which is probably ingrained in your soul. You love high school football and free speech is still a fundamental right. Obviously, there was nothing in my post that was , in my opinion, wrong in any way, nor I'm sure that anybody from VA Preps thinks so. You have your right, if you choose to excercise, not to read anything about Salem.

Thank for reading or not!

The Cougars look like they are going to be really good next yr. I talked to the two guys with the flag. Hopefully the older gentleman gets healthy enough to carry it again.
The next two years should be their best seasons in quite a while. Skipper has carried the flag his last time. He pretty much escorts it now, but he’s still there. He sure loves his Cougars.

One of the Glenvar seniors was so upset he would not take his helmet off. He was just wandering around and one of the Appomattox players came out to talk with him and just walk with him. Showed a lot of class. We hear so many bad things but there is still a lot of great sportsmanship.

Believe it or not, the Appomattox kid you were referring to who consoled the Glenvar senior #7 WR/CB, (J Forster) was actually the Freshman quarterback #8. (Tre Lawing) Talk about maturity, sportsmanship, and class well beyond his years. What a great story and what a great leader Appomattox has going forward. (Along with Coach Smith and the coaching staff of course)
