Trying to get an idea on power points and I wanted to see if anyone knows if Brunswick won. Can’t find a score
Nice comment but 25 years and counting. 😃Everyone keeps talking the coaching lacks for Warwick. They 9-1 and almost beat Phoebus yesterday. The coaching had the players on the brink of an upset. I love my phantoms but don't slight coach Hairston and his staff. He built Warwick into a good program that can contend. Besides Maury..I believe they can beat anyone else. Noone could say that a few years ago. I love what they are doing over there and to be honest. Each yr they get closer and closer. So show respect bc coaching ain't easy, It takes alot of time away from ur family with little pay.
Apparently you do because you wouldn't be trying to preach down to us. Shut up we don't care. By the way, you got banned for life today for your crap on swva sports. Hope he was worth it. We're done.
I’m sure the ones who do have integrity understand my comment.
Again, I don’t care what they do. If Tony Palmer thinks the way he is leading young men is the right way then he has a right to take that team in that direction.
My point being is that with as much controversy has been surrounding him this year, personally and professionally, I would expect him to dot his i’s and cross his T’s a little more.
I’m not judging his intentions. Just judging the actions.
Good questionIf everything holds, John Marshall will slide into the eighth spot since Amelia has waived the white flag on the season.
Or...as I am just seeing the comment above, will Region A go with a seven team bracket with the one seed getting a bye in the first round?
Pretty pathetic pulaki fans crying about a little ol 2A team with 4 backups trying to score at the end of the game. My how far that program has fallen lol."Passing quarterback"????😂😂
Man.....I'm not sure we really care about if you think we don't have integrity. At all.
"Passing quarterback"????😂😂All the recievers were backups too. Passing quarterback was handing ball off. Try again hater.
Starting offensive line. Starting quarterback. Receivers split out wide on both sides didn’t even move. What are you trying to justify? All the recievers were backups too. Passing quarterback was handing ball off. Try again hater.
Warwick has the players to beat anyone in Division 5 not named Maury honestly. It’s the coaching that they lackStrength of schedule will separate them..Granby probably has the least PP based on their district competition. 2 and 3 will be on the same side bracket so KF/Warwick should be good game. My grandson just told me that Warwick will beat KF🤣🤣
So you are on the 1 yard line with seconds left up 30 in a game and you can't take a knee? Go watch the film and offer another lame excuse besides that one. Good grief. Real classy bunch. Not to argue but I don’t believe Graham had all their starters in at that point, some starters maybe but they really don’t have that many extra players. They didn’t even have enough to field a JV team. I’m pretty sure it was mostly backups in at that point against Pulaski. A coach really can’t tell kids who rarely get to play much, don’t score on them. I really think both teams had mostly backups in at that point.
I watched this one on NFHS last week. Graham had all starters in on offense except for the runningback and tried to punch it in from the 1 yard line as time ran out in the game. They were up 35-3 I believe at the time. Pulaski stopped them from scoring on the 1.
Wonder what Pulaski did to deserve that? Had to have been Pulaski’s fault, per the @SWDRules method of thinking.
Are you being facetious?
I watched Tazewell’s. It was right after halftime losing around 17-0.
Kind of makes sense to do that if you’re trying to win, right?
Doing it up 30 in the 4th is just, well…
But anyways, it made me laugh. As chippy as it was I would think you would want to get out of there. Not give Tazewell more reason to be upset
I think you’re on the wrong side of this one.
Graham, while wildly successful over the last ten years, would rank in the bottom half of the “class” rankings if you did a blind poll.
I think we all have seen it but Graham folks have done a good job of keeping it contained until this year. I commend their fans who aren’t willing to fall in line and sacrifice integrity.
With that being said, it’s hard to argue with results. If Coach Palmer is okay with his players and coaches acting that way since it obviously isn’t keeping them from winning games, so be it. It’s his program. And I’m sure the results give him a much longer leash.

That's not "cross bracketing". They are just rearranging the brackets for some ridiculous reason with the regular season almost complete.I was on the 6A board and saw that Cross Bracketing as been approved which means Region A Champ vs Region D Champ and Region B champ vs Region C Champ and the winners will play in the Championship. I couldn't quite tell if that was for all classifications or just Class 6 and 4? It would be nice to see some fresh match ups in 1a State Semifinals. Does anyone know if they are going this route in 1A this year? On the thread in the 6A board it said that 1A was 44 out of 46 in favor of the move.
VHSL director of communications Mike McCall clarified to the Times-Dispatch on Saturday that the league's sanctions are a "recommendation." I'm just saying, folks, better not count this as a done deal.I’m all for kids transferring to improve their academic and athletic situations. What’s lame as hell with this generation is they try to form superteams. What’s even more lame is these “adults” that call themselves “coaches” were renting vans and taking kids up 95 to workout at Hayfield back when DO got hired and into the summer. Their playoff ban is 100% correct call by the VHSL.
Similar situation happening down in South Carolina with a coach that left a state contender and brought a third of his team with him. The coach left Clinton High School (located halfway between Fayetteville and Wilmington) and ended up at Marlboro County (you more than likely pass through there if you go to Myrtle Beach coming down 220), which is about 100 miles from Clinton. WILD as hell that people find stuff like this legal.

I don't know why so many questions the penalties and discipline issues when the kids are arguing with the coaches from the field.
