Surprising, but I'm not surprised! SMH!"SOON"....was Friday....phone calls started Friday afternoon as soon as some coaches realized the VHSL is now powerless.

Clearly hating because no one has called them world beaters. You did one of the worst breakdowns I’ve seen when talking football. A bunch of talking with zero context behind it.Nobody is hating on Phoebus. Everyone still has them as the favorite. I'm just saying they ain't a world beater like Maury this year. Or even like yall's team in 22.

Phoebus shut down an explosive King George offense and held them to two FGs only TD they had was a PR. The Salem team was one of, if not the best defenses we’ve played in the four year run. I’m sick of that play being called a miracle too it was there all game but the QB was making his 2nd or 3rd start ever so the training wheels were on. The training wheels are off this year so if that safety eyes are in the backfield it’s coming.
Now this year you bring up with the HSHS matchup but don’t mention Phoebus held them to 2 first downs the whole game and their only TD came on a muffed punt returned for TD. Then Warwick’s high powered offense legit had one good play the whole game and that was the long bomb at the end and in real championship mode Phoebus responded and won.
Sounds like a bunch of hate honestly.
You made some ridiculous claim earlier in the year that Dinwiddie was clearly the best team in 4A. Now you can’t decide what d you riding now Varina or Huguenot. Just stop hating on Phoebus I watched these boys grow up and see how hard they work. I’d appreciate if grown men didn’t just openly hate on their work. What have I went back on? Dinwiddie, Varina and Huguenot have all made their case for the best team in the area.

This year they've only played 2 teams with a pulse, HSHS win by 16 and Warwick by 10 points but were down late in the 4th. Varina beat that same HSHS team 28-13. Phoebus isn't some world beater this year or last year. They'll have to line it up and fight like everyone else.
Wow that’s badWe will see what happens to the JF player who was ejected I am sure JF will file an appeal. I got the film on the play today and the JF kid was punched I counted at least 12 times and did not retaliate. In fact it is clear from the film that he was turning away and trying to walk away. He only fought back when he got tackled by another player and even then he never threw a punch. He wrestled the kid off him. Plus all the Orange kids came off the sideline. No jf player left the sideline. It was clear from the very beginning that Orange had no discipline and somebody needs to be held accountable. One of the kids that ran on the field had already been ejected and by rule should have not been on the sideline.
LOL, @Gunz41 keep getting butt hurt but I was politely trying to end the hostilities.
But just so we can move on, you win.........
Man we on 5 or 6 now 😂Will GW get over the Salem hump? I hope for GWs case they can do it finally. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, fool me three times....?????
I appreciate you acknowledging that last year they weren't world beaters yet somehow still got it done again.Phoebus only beat King George by 10 and needed a miracle against Salem last year.

Makes sense. I can imagine that Huguenot and Varina are the more talented team based on measurables and college offers (aka "on paper"). Hell, even on film they may look better than the Phantoms. I watched the Phoebus/Warwick game a couple weeks ago and wasn't wow'd by the physical appearance of many of the Phantoms save for a handful but what I did see was a pack of wolves in royal blue and gold uniforms. There's something to be said about the mystic and experience of the boys off Ireland Street.Level of competition played; talent; both matchups are favorable vs Phoebus.

Wasn’t making an argument because objectively I can see where you would see it the way you do from your perspective. I have major issues with both of those scenarios in general not specific to any play in this game.
First off the closer guy is generally deferred to unless there is something egregious. That said I did see the Draft side judge indicating that the runners knee was down. If that was the case they should have called an officials timeout as the offense was reporting to the ball with a play that had already been called, potentially based on that initial spot. That is my opinion on that specific play and although annoying it wasn’t a huge deal.
As for winding the clock, I agree it’s when the white hat winds it but the mechanics should be that the dang ball is at least spotted prior to that occuring when there is a first down. This isn’t about the last two minutes either, it’s just a pet peeve of mine and this guy was quick with it all night (against both teams)
And not to put too fine a point on it by the white hat added time specifically because the ball being moved late was delaying our opportunity to snap the ball or so I was told. And not to rehash open sores but it’s rich that there is a social media uproar over the clock when several years ago it was of benefit to Draft at their field in an extremely tight game.
Either way the game is done and that was a very good senior laden Draft team that I could have seen make noise against any of the Bull Run teams. IF L Graber would have been healthy it may have been different. He is the epitome of what you want from a HS football player and I have a ton of respect for him laying it all out there battling his shoulder.
I don’t say it unless I stamp it. Varina and Huguenot better than Phoebus.you’re clearly trolling. So easy to say this when you’re not the one that has to strategize and play against Phoebus. Your 804 bias is cool but we got to be realistic

Remember it, write it down, take a picture or whatever Smoky said 😈
I heard they had Aaron Brooks apply when it was open a few years ago. They’ve underachieved very badly these past 3 years. Bedwell would’ve won at least one state championships with what they have and transferred out. They lost a lot to transfers and still had a significant # of talent on their roster.Time for a shakeup at Herm. Just way too much talent for them to not show any improvement over the last 3 years. I was high on them coming into the year but this is just who they are.
