Did I see right that Martinsville is 5-17? How did that happen?

Remember that Martinsville is the only 2A school in their district. The Bulldogs schedule is filled with 3A through 6A opponents. Also, the Lady Dogs have 6 freshmen on their playoff roster. So they're still a bit of a work in progress.

Sounds like Buckingham's Conf was weak...Floyd beat M'ville 96-39...

and just dispatched Gretna 87-41 and Floyd's players said they didn't play well.

Wow...Floyd vs. Gate City in 6A SEMIS!?!...too bad they don't seed 1-8....

Floyd shouldn't have to face GC or Central until finals, but oh well.

Looks like GC is getting the shaft, being the top seed from their conf. & having to play FC on their home floor. Why aren't these games being played on a neutral court? GC beat Wise Central 3 times this year & they face a 5-17 Martinsville team? Whoever set up these seatings doesn't have a clue. Oh right, I forgot were in the VHSL.

Central Wise has been the clear benefactor of the West region bracket. I think a committee should seed teams in the region after they have qualified. Floyd and Gate City shouldn't meet until the region title game. Wise will make the state tourney while one of the other 2 who are clearly better will not.
