As long as NFHS is up and running I should be able to follow this game along with updates. @pizzzzza feel free to chime in anytime!

One thing to note about Albemarle-they have ZERO seniors that play basically. Should be just as good if not better next year. Their starting lineup is four juniors and a sophomore

Have a go at it my friend!

I've got to run some errands anyway - I'll try and catch the second half!

11-8 Green Run at the end of the 1st. Albemarle can't finish at all, but are dominating the boards, keeping them in the game. Green Run shot a lot of 3s, finally made 1 to put them up 11-8. If Albemarle can keep dominating the boards and just finish on offense they'll be fine. Very clear both teams are nervous but they've both found their footing a little.

Green Run calls time up 17-14, 4:46 left in 2nd. Another offensive rebound bucket for Albemarle followed by a nice Ragland reverse. Patriots can't get out in transition at all, Stallions zone is giving them problems.

Albemarle calls time, Green Run up 21-16. Ugly game. Lots of blocks. Both teams shooting a ton of jumpers and only two have gone in. Albemarle with the foul advantage and Stallions aren't as deep, but if Green Run can go on a little run before half here...

Green Run up 22-16 at half. Yeesh. Stallions have played really well defensively, just can't hit their open 3s. Jackson for them has 3 fouls, something to watch. Albemarle is in this game because of their offensive rebounds, they're not making their free throws and haven't made a jumper. Could be headed for another sub-40 performance from one of these teams.

If big man #22 for Albemarle had played the post all game instead of shooting jump shots, the Patriots would be 2025 C5 State Champs.
Thought the same thing the whole game. And then Ragland tried to dribble way too much....he's only a sophomore but had a ton of costly turnovers. They'll all be back next year and can only assume they will learn from this experience.

Ragland can ball. Thought Albemarle had the better overall talent, however Green Run was much more focused and coached up. Albemarle will definitely be back.
