Amazing golfer!

I just wanted to recognize the amazing HS career of Salem golfer Kathryn Ha.


SALEM SCHOOL BOARD SALUTES GOLF QUEEN KATHRYN HA
The most successful golfer in the history of Salem High School was honored by the School Board this Tuesday night for her historic fall season in Virginia High School League play.

In the month of October, Ha became the first person in VHSL history to win both the co-ed VHSL Individual State Title and the Girls Open State Championship in the same season. On October 14, at the Heritage Oaks Golf Course in Harrisonburg, Ha shot a -2 under par round of 68 to become a two-time VHSL Individual State Champion. She outplayed the Top 60 golfers, both male and female, in Class 4 at capture the crown.

Two weeks later, on the same course, Ha shot a 3 under 67 to become a three-time VHSL State Girls Open Champion.

To top it all off, Kathryn signed scholarship papers to continue her career as a student-athlete at Vanderbilt University today. Congrats! #SampleSalem

Hmm, I misheard/misunderstood the PA guy last Friday. Was thinking the co-ed title was a pairs event or something (one boy, one girl) not that it was a free-for-all and she beat everyone, that's phenomenal. Be interested to see if we notice her name on an LPGA leaderboard down the road!
