Seeing Cox dominate the Beach so far, winning games it should, makes me wonder if Smith will be dethroned as 6A champ? Ocean Lakes is strong as is Woodside perhaps, but is it looking like another runaway race? Cox of course had Smith on the ropes AT Smith in the first round of the postseason last year.

A lot of football left, but you guys give me your interpretation?

I think your right about some but not all of your above statement. Agree that Cox is a challenge but they are sort of a 2 man band with 1 really special player. I think ultimately one superstar won't be enough to beat Smith.

Indian River is class 5 but should give them a run for their money in district play.

Salem is good and has a great back but again I think Smith will be too much.

I think OL is the team that will give them the most run for their money. I still think Smith is the favorite.

I think Woodside would get blowwwwn out by OS. That is just my take on it.

Cox definitely has reasons to be excited , AND THEY DID play Smith to OT in the playoffs last year. But, the offensive inconsistency that showed up last year has been addressed.

The balance between their power running game with a complementary passing game has the resemblance to their Championship seasons of 2008 & 2011! Their D is at least as good if not better than last year!

BTW don't sleep on Landstown.

Let's hope everyone stays healthy & we'll see how the year plays out. My gut tells me that the 6 South Region is at a different level vs 6 North. I just hope it proves out and plays differently in 2018.

6a might be the most loaded it has ever been at the top of the class...
OS
Manchester
Westfield
CF
Are my top four not in any particular order. I have a pretty good picture of Region A&B. Who else might be close to those 4 up North?

In A&B: -
Thomas Dale
Cox
Ocean Lakes
Salem VB

I would enjoy seeing someone in the know rank the top 10 across class 6. Maybe someone from the Northern region.

Dale has been bitten by the injury bug.
Manchester is as legit as can be! If Manchester is going to ever win it all, it should be this year! They are loaded and is as good as any others.

My 6 South Region

OS 6A
Manchester 6B
Colonial Forge 6B
Cox 6A
Ocean Lakes 6A
Landstown 6A
T. Dale 6B
Woodside 6A

(Salem, VB is 5A)

I have my own thoughts about the Northern Region but I think it's going to come down to the usual Top teams. And just like the rumblings about possible upcomers down here, I think the same could be said about the Northern Region.

I was at the Manchester vs Ocean Lakes Scrimmage. They're the real deal. But getting past Colonial Forge could still be a problem.

Most are sleeping on Indian River. I would not be surprised if they upset Smith and are holding the D5 trophy in December.

As Gursky already stated above, add Woodbridge to the mix up north. You could also add Madison or Centreville, although those are long shots. Unless someone else goes on a streak late in the season, pulls an upset, or Westfield or Woodbridge play poorly at the wrong time, I expect to see those two (WF and WDBR) in the North semis/final (playoff weeks 3&4) for the northern half of the bracket. If Westfield or Woodbridge loses a game in the regular season and end up 1 & 3 in the northern bracket instead of 1 & 2, they would have to meet in playoff week 3.

Watch out for Woodbridge they will be a sleeper and a team no one wants to see come playoff time
