Coach Jim Woodson is one of the greats of the region. He took over the Powhatan program in 1985 and in 34 seasons posted 27 winning seasons, 24 playoff appearances and won 2 state titles with the 1996 Class 2 and 2003 Class 4 titles. 2018 concluded his phenomenal run with a record of 281-106-1.

Coach David Bedwell has won everywhere he's been. He coached at Henrico from 1997-1999 guiding the Warriors to the 1999 Class 5 Final before taking the job at LC Bird. At LC Bird of course he won multiple region titles and was a 3-time state champion from 2012-2014. Bedwell has a career playoff record of 30-15 to go with the state titles and now he is at Hermitage where he looks to build on his record of 201-43.
