Since Advocate posted about Appo volleyball, I figured I'd throw it out there that Gretna won the 2A West Regional Championship meet on Wednesday, held at Giles HS. Congrats to Coach Short. The Hawks were led by the Cline twins (10th graders). Will now travel to the state championship meet next Friday 11/11 at Great Meadow at The Plains. Strong competition will come out of the East in the form of Maggie Walker Governor's School, Wilson Memorial, Central-Woodstock, and RE Lee. Good luck to the Hawks next Friday, and also good luck to Ryan Seal of Page County.
