28 of the eligible 50 players returning for Freedom Woodbridge are no longer with the program lmao sheesh. Overton said he taking everything and everyone he can with him 😂😂. Nah in all seriousness tho he knows he was wrong for that. A recruiting just to win championships instead of building and watching your coaching flourish in front of your eyes is a disservice to you as a coach. Building, teaching, and watching a player grow from point A to point B makes the grind so special! Yeah a lot of teams have recruited it’s been going on for years but no team has ever gotten a mass exodus like Hayfield got from Freedom. Normally a few guys here and there. I remember not so long ago transferring rarely even happened. Kids use to have pride and stay at their schools that’s when everyone was good. You didn’t see many lopsided scores and every game meant something smh now a days one bad season and kids want to move to the closest winner in the area and that said winner will be willing to bend the rules in some cases if that player is good enough. I miss the old days 😔

I do love that every person this guy internet beefs with MUST be racist. You can tell it’s just some guy hella mad about Hayfield getting caught and punished.

Pretty sure he’s specifically called out multiple black folk as racists now. It would be more entertaining if it wasn’t so sad and predictable.

I think - not totally positive - the difference is a push notification will give you an alert on whichever device you use most frequently, be it mobile or computer. A push notification will likely send you a type of text and/or e-mail, whereas in the other form / regular case you may not get that 'alert' to let you know about the notification, but you would see it under your alerts tab whenever you view the site.

Hopefully that makes some sense and I didn't confuse you - and others - more.

Hayfield loses final appeal; powerhouse football team banned from postseason for two years

Hayfield Secondary School has lost its final appeal to overturn a two-year postseason ban in football. The final decision was made by a three-person Virginia High School League subcommittee, which heard from both Hayfield and the league Thursday via Zoom before rendering its decision.

I think the nail in the coffin is that so many transferred from Freedom to Hayfield. Down here in the 757 we see 1or 2 kids transfer every school year to other schools but 15 leaving destroys a program. Also, the kids that left Hayfield after the transfers arrived, were they starters before and lost their positions or told to leave. VHSL had to see something really bad for a 2 year ban. I feel for the student athletes that practiced everyday and worked out during the off season. Hayfield administration should pay a price also for this happening.

I think whether it is 1 or 2 or 15 or 16 or more, the the rule should be designed, implemented and enforced consistently. Clearly, the current Hayfield situation is a real life example of pigs get fat but hogs get slaughtered given its blatant nature. Not to be ignored are the adults involved in this situation as kids should not be the only ones to suffer the consequences and at the top of the list should be the FCPS Superintendent responsible for the initial "investigation".
