WOW! What an amazing game!

Patrick Henry received the opening kick but failed to move the ball. Jefferson Forest got things started off with their first possession. Navy Jones, the 5'8" 165 lb RB, helped lead JF down the field. His biggest run on the opening drive was a 35 yard burst, which set them up near the endzone. QB #4 Cole Scott ran it 6 yards for the opening score, JF 7 PH 0

Patrick Henry got rolling on its 2nd possession. They moved the ball with a mix of passing and running. The QB for PH, Quishon Calfee, got things started with a couple of passes to #2 Harris, & #6 Augustin. The drive was aided by 3 off sides penalties on JF, 2 of which resulted in first downs. Calfee had 2 runs for 1st downs before he threw a 19 yard TD to #11 Hopson, JF 7 PH 7

It was JF's turn next and they wasted little time. It was all runs between Jones and Miller with the former scoring on a 9 yard pop up the middle, JF 14 PH 7.

PH had a nice kickoff return by Harris and on the next play the 6'1" 190 lb bruiser, Mini scored on a 58 yd run to the right side, JF 14 PH 14.

Jones wasted little time in putting JF back on top with a 65 yard KO return, JF 21 PH 14.

After another good return by Harris, Calfee broke free for a 55 yard TD run to even up the score at 21.

On JF's next possession they fumbled deep in their own territory giving PH a good opportunity to take the lead. Unfortunately, for PH they couldn't take advantage as JF bowed up and took over on downs on the 16 yard line when a PH receiver dropped a pass in the endzone on 4th and Goal.

PH's defense returned the favor on JF's next possession forcing them to punt for the first time all night.

Defense seemed to take over near the end of the first half as both teams held serve again. JF fumbled for the second time on the night killing the offensive momentum till halftime.

It took a few possessions for either offense to get back on track in the second half as JF fumbled for the 3rd time. Calfee had a stretch during this time where he threw 8 straight incompletions.

Jones, always the sparkplug, got the scoring train back on track as he took a PR 65 yards to put JF back on top 28-21.

Calfee used a mix of passing and running to methodically move PH down the field. He evened the score on a 10 yard run, 28 all.

Jones, Miller, and Scott moved the ball nicely for JF and Jones scored his 4th TD on a 13 yard run, JF missed the extra point making the score JF 34 PH 28.

Calfee put the team on his back by having a pair of 32 yard runs, the last one on 4th and 17, where he put it in the endzone, PH took it's first and only lead 35-34.

Miller didn't allow the PH lead to stand for long as he broke free on a 60 yard score for his first TD. JF's 2 point conversion failed putting the score at JF 40 PH 35.

PH wasn't able to go back ahead as JF held on 4th and 16. JF got a 1st down and that was the ballgame.

Final stats for the game:

Miller 1 TD 117 YD RUSH
Scott 1 TD 66 YD RUSH
