From Darling Stadium in Hampton, it's the Kecoughtan Warriors (2-1) hosting the Menchville Monarchs (3-1).

Things start with a kickoff return to the house from Kecoughtan.

Menchville answers with a kickoff return for a score.

Taveon Patterson returns the Kecoughtan punt 28 yards to the Warriors 42. Nice tackle along the sideline by David Anderson, the track / discus / football star who is back on the field after the injury earlier.

A couple of grabs from Dareian Parker, a multi-sport athlete from basketball, has the Monarchs staring at 3rd & 1 from the Kecoughtan 33. Quarterback K'Sann Farrar will try to sneak forward for a first down and it looks like he will be short. However, officials will do an official measurement.

On 4th & 1, it's senior RB Evin Wells punching ahead for a first down. That sets up an aerial scoring strike for the visiting Monarchs, who rallied from two scores down last week to beat Hampton here at Darling Stadium.

Kecoughtan needs to get a couple of first downs with the running game and not let Menchville carry this momentum over quickly to where they have the football back with enough time to make things interesting.

With 8:56 remaining in the contest, Kecoughtan takes over at their own 22 and hands it off to Kamron Jackson for a gain of 1. On 2nd & 9, the Warriors get flagged for a false start before they're able to run up the middle and get a big chunk of yardage.

Jackson doesn't care about 2nd & 14 because he rips off a 16-yard run. That gives him 23 attempts for 181 yards on the night with 123 of those yards here in the 2nd half.

With 6:27 to go, Menchville doesn't help itself with an encroachment penalty on 3rd & 3 to give Kecoughtan a fresh set of downs.
