I'm currently watching the QO/Wise chip game replay on NFHS. QO is clearly the better team. Both defenses are very solid. Wise's offense is ehhh. QO's offense is average.

If I were to put these teams into this year's VA rankings - QO would be top 10...probably around 5. I'd put Wise in the 10-15 range.

I can imagine if Maury and Wise played later in the season, Maury woulda got them by 3+ tuddys.

You could do a home-and-home non-district series at neutral sites close to the designated home team. Let me explain.

If the distance between two teams is say five hours, the home team can travel an hour or two and let the other team travel three or four hours. And then reverse the situation the following year.

Not looking up Google Maps for this example but say Phoebus and Quince Orchard (just throwing out two teams) scheduled a two-game OOD series. Play the first one at a big stadium in say...Richmond (maybe Highland Springs) and then play the other game in say...Prince William County or maybe up in Lorton at South County since that's close to the interstate.

Gates and concessions can be split 40/40/20 with 40% each for both teams and 20% for the host schools.

Many different ways to skin a cat and be creative.

Trust me it’s not that easy.

To me, simply not the kind of offense to compete with Phoebus. Smoke in mirrors motioning and soft zone blocking at point of attack won’t work unless you have absolute D1 talent getting the ball, and even then not enough. Can’t do that to any team that out atheletes you.

Get a full back, double team the 3 technique. Pound. Only way to gain any ground when you have less atheletes.

Unfortunately you can’t teach that in a week if you have been running this kind of stuff all year.

This is an @ to all the Salem fans who were mad that our o coordinator didn’t freak out and go 4 wide shotgun in 3rd and 9 situations in the state game last year. You give Phoebus more and more time by clock stopping and your highest percentage play against them is something off tackle or dive. Phoebus absolutely sniffs out pass concepts
